NAUTICAL ACTIVITIES BASE

A Center dedicated to carrying out training and improvement programs for sailing teams.

Our facilities have an exit ramp to the sea and dock for support boats, gym, training rooms, changing rooms, outdoor esplanade and hangar for material.

The quality of the racing field and its facilities allow you to practice sailing at the highest level.

Mar Menor nautical base is in the southeast of Spain, next to the Mediterranean Sea. (37°48’50.8″N 0°47’03.3″W).

The conditions of temperature, short waves and wind make it "The Foil paradise"

The Mar Menor has excellent wave and wind conditions for the practice of nautical activities throughout the year. The Mar Menor has more than 300 days of sun a year, excellent wind conditions and has an international airport and train connection. 

The average temperature ranges between 15 °C (January) and 33 °C (August). The sea temperature usually varies between 14 °C and 25 °C. The average wind speed is 18 km/h (9/10 knots). The wind most frequently comes from the SE and SW (lebeche) during spring and summer and from the E and NW in autumn and winter.

It is an optimal environment for the development of nautical activities. Its climatic conditions are incomparable, where any regatta guarantees the completion of all its races.

The Mar Menor

The Mar Menor is the largest saltwater lagoon in Europe, with 170 km2 of surface area, a 73 km coast length and a maximum depth of 7 m.

With connection by international airport and train. There are permanent population centers with a wide range of hotels, restaurants, leisure and other sports (golf, cycling, etc.)

First ecosystem in Europe with recognized legal rights and its own legal personality. An inland sea separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a narrow strip of sand 22 km long (La Manga). It also has five volcanic islands and several wetlands on its banks, as well as two saltwater systems (San Pedro del Pinatar and Marchamalo).
